As a Locum Radiologist you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and interpreting medical imaging collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures and interpret results accurately
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to discuss patient care and treatment plans
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of radiology technologies and techniques
- Ensure compliance with medical regulations and standards
- Document patient information and imaging results in electronic medical records
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
- Provide education to patients regarding imaging procedures and outcomes
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff as needed
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- State medical license to practice in Zion
- Associate-level experience in radiology or a related field
- Proficiency in various imaging modalities (X-ray MRI CT Ultrasound)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30a-5:00p
Some call shifts available
Daily Volume: 100 patient studies between the entire team
Modalities: CT MRI PET and general X-ray; mammo and breast BXs preferred
EMR: Epic
PACS: Merge
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
