Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records
- Participate in hospital rounds and communicate with patients and families
- Ensure adherence to best practices and hospital protocols
- Engage in continuous professional development and training
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Experience in Internal Medicine preferred
- Strong clinical skills and patient management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
- Basic knowledge of electronic medical record systems
Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
No call requirement
57 beds
Daily Census: 18 patients 4 admissions/consults per provider
Mixed acuity patient population
Will round in the open ICU
Vent management required
Specialty Support Staff: Critical care cardiology surgery orthopedics urology nephrology tele-ID tele-psych and tele-neurology
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
