As a Locum MD specializing in Anesthesiology you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. Your expertise will contribute to a collaborative environment where you will work closely with surgeons and medical staff to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients before during and after surgical procedures
- Monitor patients vital signs and respond to any changes in their condition
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure the highest standards of care
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and discuss risks with patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Educate patients and families regarding anesthesia processes and safety
- Participate in continuous medical education and training initiatives
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations in the operating room
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Anesthesiology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Illinois
- 1-3 years of experience in anesthesiology as a practicing physician
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient safety and ethical medical practices
- Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Flexible Schedule: 8-hour day shifts available Monday-Friday
In-house call shifts
Patient Volume: 12-14 per day
Diverse Case Mix: Trauma orthopedics general surgery vascular orthopedics/spine urology and robotics
EMR: Epic
Must be ABA or ABPS board-certified or board-eligible
