This contract position is on-site and provides a unique opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment.
As a Locum MD in Radiology you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients through various imaging techniques. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and you will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiological examinations and interpret imaging results
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate diagnoses
- Provide consultation to referring physicians regarding imaging findings
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Stay current with advancements in radiology and imaging technologies
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards in radiological practices
- Assist in training and mentoring medical staff and interns
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Completion of residency in Radiology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Florida
- Strong understanding of radiological procedures and imaging modalities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
Daily Volume: 5-10 biopsies 5 MRIs and 20 screeners
Breast procedures required
EMR: Cerner Clario
PACS: Merge Inteleviewer
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
