As a Locum MD in Radiology you will play a critical role in diagnosing and interpreting medical images to assist in patient treatment plans. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and support the overall mission of providing high-quality healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays MRIs and CT scans
- Interpret imaging results and provide accurate diagnoses
- Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss imaging findings
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
- Provide patient education regarding imaging procedures
- Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and techniques
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a specialization in Radiology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania
- Experience in performing and interpreting a variety of imaging studies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus
Schedule: Monday-Monday 8a-5p
Weeknight call (5p-8a) and 24-hour weekend call (Friday 5p-Monday 8a)
75% IR 25% DX
Some Light IR: CT biopsies lumbar punctures fluoros
Board certification required
