Job Summary

THE OPPORTUNITYWe have an eight (8) month contract opportunity for a Credit Administrator to join our award-winning firm in the Vancouver YOULL DOAs a Credit Administrator you are responsible for managing and overseeing the administrative aspects of the credit process ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory ideal candidate is an effective communicator with strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a high-volume deadline-oriented environment. They are committed to providing exemplary client service and bring positive energy whether working independently or problem solving with team members. This role requires the successful candidate to work onsite in the office five days per and timely processing of internal transfers including foreign exchange transactionsRespond to credit inquiries from our advisory teamValidate and approve payments from client accountsReview client accounts to ensure compliance with internal credit AML policies and FINTRACInvestigate suspicious transactions and escalate to managementMonitor credit quality reports and follow up for appropriate actionPrepare Short Position report for reporting to CIROPrepare Guarantor reviewsMaintain policy and procedures manualsParticipate in key project initiativesEnsure department timelines are metCOMPETENCIESAdvising and Coaching Use knowledge and relationships to assess the needs of internal or external stakeholders come up with recommendations and provide coaching or advice that helps them solve challenges grow and/or reach their goalsAnalysis Assess quantitative and qualitative data information or situations to understand the most important details identify patterns or meaning and translate it into useful recommendations decisions or actionsCustomer Service Determine needs capture relevant information apply internal policy or regulation and escalate and prioritize the requests of customers to answer inquiries fulfill transactions or resolve issuesDeveloping Reports Gather compile organize and present accurate information in structured reports to support sound business decisions or provide insightDocument and Information Management Organize store maintain and retrieve documents information and/or digital files to keep information accessible orderly secure and up-to-dateRegulatory Knowledge Understand and apply relevant laws regulations and standards to meet legal and ethical requirements and reduce risk for clients and the firmRisk Assessment Identify analyze and evaluate risks to make decisions and take actions that manage their likelihood and impact on achieving our objectives for the benefit of our clients firm and communitiesKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE1 years of Client Services experience at a financial institutionRelated experience in the investment industry CIRO regulatory reporting trusts and estates is an assetWorking knowledge of industry rules including AML KYC and CIRO margin requirementsExperience processing high volumes of transactions with proven ability to deliver results within deadlinesExperience capturing workflows and control documentationAbility to exercise good judgement and decision making within a policy and regulatory frameworkSelf-starter with the capacity to work independently along with flexibility and willingness to assist othersConfident decision maker with an eye for detail and expert analytical problem-solving capabilitySuperior organizational and prioritization skills with demonstrated ability to manage competing prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills anchored in trust and respectProficient in Microsoft 365Experience with the Broadridge Dataphile is an assetWHAT WE OFFERA culture of openness collaboration and respect is foundational to our firm.
