As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Develops or enhance products/applications in line with business requirements.
- Collaborates with internal users in Operations Client Service and Front Office
- Analyzes independently code test and deploy applications/components to satisfy business requirements for large complex projects.
- Adheres to firm-wide architecture standards risk management and security policies.
- Provides production support coverage
- Participates in the broader LOB/Firm-wide initiatives.
- Collaborates with globally distributed teams.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification onsoftware engineeringconcepts and 3 years applied experience
- Experience in software development using Java and its associated technology stack.
- Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot) microservices architecture and building RESTful APIs.
- Experienced with messaging platforms such as Kafka RabbitMQ and JMS.
- Proficient in front-end frameworks and technologies including ReactJS Angular ExtJS and NodeJS.
- Hands-on exposure to public cloud environments like AWS Azure or GCP.
- Solid background in relational databases with the ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries.
- Familiar with test-driven development (TDD) methodologies including tools like JUnit and Mockito.
- Skilled in using continuous integration tools such as Maven and Jenkins.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize assignments and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a talent for delivering effective technical solutions.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Broad understanding of DevOps methodologies including automation deployment pipelines and infrastructure as code beyond basic CI/CD tool usage.
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles such as system monitoring and log tracing.
