Job Summary
Basic Job Functions
Assist with the logistics and implementation of the Childrens Gardening Program at the Edible Academy.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist supervisors and educators in preparing for facilitating and cleaning up the Childrens Gardening Program.
- Promote positive interactions amongst program participants.
- Aid in logistics and safety requirements during program sessions.
- Assist with general horticultural tasks in the garden plots with the participants and maintain an organized work area including care of garden tools and enrichment activity supplies.
- Assist supervisors and educators with check in and check out procedures.
- Mentor Super Crafters during reflection meetings.
Qualifications
- Applicant should have an interest in gardening and teaching as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Applicants must be professional mature and enthusiastic attitude is essential.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather
Work Schedule
- Temporary part time role expected to last till November
- Saturday 8 AM- 1 PM
Rate
- $18 per hour
