GBH is PBSs leading producer for TV and the Web a major supplier of programs heard nationally on public radio a leader in educational multimedia and media access services for people with vision or hearing loss and the leader in public media for greater Boston and New England.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Advisor shall work with key members of the GBH team to identify and secure revenue growth opportunities by creating a growth plan focused on securing new production deals for GBH KIDS and licensing or selling GBHs IP in the kids lifestyle and general audience (e.g. science) space.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify all third parties that GBH and/or Service Provider intends to approach for possible opportunities for GBH
Develop framework for go to market strategic positioning
Work with internal GBH team on budget and revenue targets
Build client target list for each project with customized rationales and strategies
Be available to join meetings and brainstorm business development projects new partnerships and/or sales strategy
Identify opportunities and deliver draft approaches for business growth
SKILL SET
Excellent reading writing verbal organizational negotiating communication and analytical skills required.
Must be able to work cooperatively with artists and business colleagues in a fast-paced production-focused environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must have a positive attitude and excellent attention to detail.
Proven capability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Must have experience with Macintosh operating system Word and Excel and document comparison programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience building fundraising strategies for non-profit organizations.
