As an Associate in the EMEA Regulatory Affairs team within Corporate Responsibility you will play a key role in identifying analyzing and communicating regulatory policy developments that impact our business. You will work closely with colleagues across the firm and external stakeholders to support our advocacy efforts and ensure the firm is prepared for regulatory change. You will be part of a collaborative team that values diverse perspectives and professional growth.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and monitor regulatory policy developments in financial services in the UK and EU with a focus on markets digital finance and related topics.
- Inform lines of business and internal functions on key policy and regulatory developments by tracking and communicating updates.
- Prepare executive-level reports presentations briefings and summaries for internal stakeholders on regulatory policy issues.
- Deliver verbal and written briefings and analysis to a wide range of internal stakeholders including senior management.
- Participate in internal working groups to develop policy positions and review trade association responses to consultations and position papers.
- Organize meetings with regulators and policymakers in the region.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (including line of business compliance legal government relations and global partners in Regulatory Affairs) and external stakeholders such as peer firms trade bodies and regulators.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
- Relevant experience in regulation regulatory policy or a related role.
- Knowledge of financial services regulation in the EU and UK and the public policy context.
- Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office (Word PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work across a range of complex issues and learn new topics quickly.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and time-sensitive deliverables.
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment holding self accountable for deliverables and meeting strict deadlines.
- Highest level of integrity and professionalism.
- Undergraduate degree required.
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
- Higher degree or professional qualification in a complementary discipline.
- Competence in a European language.
