This is a full-time position working as a WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor in Natrona County. Casper is a full-service community home to over 59000 residents including many young families. On top of many family-friendly activities Casper is also near multiple four-season outdoor recreation areas including Casper Mountain and Edness K. Wilkins State Park. Also the location provides access to higher education opportunities. Wyoming is one of only nine states with no state income tax.

PREFERENCES:
Has breastfed at least one baby for at least 6 months (does not have to be currently breastfeeding). Is a current or previous WIC client. Is enthusiastic about breastfeeding and wants to help other mothers enjoy a positive experience. Has the ability to provide a record of tests for or obtain immunizations for TB MMR and Varicella.
Ability to obtain working knowledge of WIC policies and procedures
Ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks projects and demands
Ability to operate a personal computer utilizing a variety of standard software
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and external customers
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple venues such as telephone personal interaction and electronic communication etc.
