The following position is to join our RTX Technology Research Center (RTRC):

The Additive Manufacturing Process and Capability Center (AMPCC) encompasses a critical mass of Additive Manufacturing (AM) process and industrialization experts the necessary equipment and develops the strategic collaborations needed to rapidly mature the technology and manufacturing readiness of AM. The AMPCC focuses on the research development and deployment of additive manufacturing tools and processes for our business units.

The SummerProcess Intern will be responsible for one or more of the following activities as they relate to the AMPCC including:

• Process standardization and documentation

• Development of new tools and methods

• Characterizing fabricated parts

• Supporting the commissioning and verification of new equipment

• Designingand utilizingfixtures formachinecharacterizationequipment

• Developing mathematicalmodelsand visualrepresentationsofexperimental data

• Data analysis of builds parts or material samples

Qualifications You Must Have

• Candidates must be pursuing a graduate degree in the fieldof MechanicalManufacturing Chemical MaterialsEngineeringor related technical field and must not graduate before September 2026. Please submit a copy of your academic transcripts with your application.

• Scripting experience withMatlab Python VBA JavaScript or similar

• CAD experience with NX Solidworks Creo or similar

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Additive Manufacturing concepts or equipment

• Advanced mathematics and data analysis skills with a basic understanding of statistics

• Hands-on experience working with laboratory equipment

• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary collaborative team environment

• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

Location: This position is in East Hartford CT and is an onsite role.

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
