As a Verification & Validation Engineer you will join Derby team to support our activities within the Nuclear sector.
You will play a key role in delivering confidence to some of the most highly regulated safety-critical systems in the UK. This is your chance to influence the reliability of groundbreaking nuclear technologywhere proving a product works is just as important as designing it in the first place.
- Location: Derby
- On Site: 2 times per week
- Clearance: BPSS
- Experience Level: 1- 10 YOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing smart robust V&V strategies and plansright from requirements to final validation.
- Carrying out or reviewing verification activities like analysis inspections and tests.
- Reviewing technical evidence to assess compliance with system requirements.
- Working closely with design teams to make sure systems meet the safety and performance needs of a regulated environment.
- Applying your engineering know-how to safety-critical hardware from mechanical systems to HVAC and beyond.
Qualifications :
Required Skills:
- Strong technical writing and communication skillsyoull be reviewing and reporting on critical evidence.
- Familiarity with codes such as ASME ACI ASCE ANSI and British/European Standards.
- Experience with Verification & Validation
- Able to think critically and work independently.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in nuclear power generation or other safety-critical industries
- Knowledge of ONR safety principles INPO guidance or similar regulatory frameworks
