Position Summary
The Project Controls Analyst supports the Project Controls Manager and project teams by providing detailed cost tracking change control support and financial analysis for construction projects. This role is critical to improving cost visibility forecasting accuracy and financial discipline across projects. The position sits within the Accounting & Finance Department and works closely with Project Management and Operations.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Track and analyze project costs budgets and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assistwith change order management including log maintenance pricing support approval tracking andfinancial impactanalysis.
- Prepare monthly job cost reports cost-to-complete analyses and variance explanations.
- Support cash flow forecasting and earned value reporting.
- Reconcile project cost data between project management systems and accounting systems.
- Assist with WIP preparation and supporttimelymonthly WIP reviews.
- Support project billings byvalidatingcost data percent complete and approved change orders.
- Assistwith monitoring project-level accounts receivable andcollectionsstatus.
- Review project-level accounts payable activity to supportaccuratecost capture and cash flow visibility.
- Assistproject managers with budget updates forecast revisions and financial performance reviews.
- Identifycost trends risks and anomalies and escalate concerns to the Project Controls Manager.
- Support month-end close activities related to job costs and project financials.
- Maintainaccurateand organized project financial documentation.
- Assistwith audits internal reviews and management reporting as.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Construction Management Engineering ora relatedfield (preferred).
- 25 years of experience in construction cost control project accounting or financial analysis.
- Working knowledge ofconstructionjob cost systems and projectcontrolsconcepts.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in heavy civil geotechnical or specialty construction.
- Familiarity with change management and cost forecasting on active construction projects.
- Experience with construction accounting or ERP systems.

The expected base pay range for this position in the Colorado area is $85000-$110000 Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential bonus or benefits.
