LOCATION:Northern California

RESPONSIBILITIES:Researchersareresponsibleforconductingin-depthresearchinsupportofall stages of assigned campaigns. Duties vary by campaign and may include but are not limited to the following:

Conductsinterpretsandpresentsfinancialanalysisofpublicandpubliclyfundedentitiesin support of bargaining and public policy work.
Developsandexecutesresearchworkplanthatreflectscampaignobjectivesalongwithleadstaff and member leaders.
Coordinatescampaignresearchutilizinginformationfromandaboutworkersemployers economic/financial research on target or industry.
Tracksandanalyzespolicyissuesaffectingthetargetindustry.
Conductsandinterpretsbasicfinancialanalysisofpublicandpubliclyfundedentitiesinsupportof bargaining and public policy work.
Performsmarketanalysisoftargetindustries.

SKILLSANDABILITIES:

Ademonstratedcommitmenttoprogressivesocialchangeandactivistexperience.
Bachelorsdegreefromanaccreditedfour-yearcollegeoruniversityand/orpriorresearch experience.
Competenceinavarietyofresearchmethods(interviewcomputer-basedetc.)andpolicyanalysis skills excellent writing and speaking ability; applied experience in either public interest issues union organizing or public fiscal/policy analysis.
Familiaritywithavarietyofcomputer-basedresearchtoolsbasicfinancialconceptsandgood quantitative skills.
Excellentwritingability.
Bilingualskillsaredesirable.
Abilitytoworkindependentlyundertightdeadlinesandinateamenvironment.
Willingnesstoworklongandirregularhourswhenneededtomeetcampaigndemands.

EXPERIENCE:2 years experience in research work specifically conducting budget and financial analyses of public and/or private agencies.

REQUIREMENTS:MustpossessavalidCaliforniadriverslicense;mustpassaDMVcheckand have a good driving record; must have auto insurance that covers business driving (minimum of

$100000perperson/$300000perincidentbodilyinjuryliability/$50000propertycoverage);and must possess an automobile for business use.

MustbefullyvaccinatedagainstCOVID19.
