Facilities Engineer Telecom Team
Location: Bethesda MD

Were seeking a Facilities Engineer to join our Telecom team in this role youll play a critical part in keeping the infrastructure that powers our nations air traffic management running flawlessly.

What Youll Do:

  • Infrastructure Management: Monitor maintain and optimize physical facilitiesincluding generators HVAC systems racks cabling and site securityto ensure near-perfect uptime.

  • System Installation & Maintenance: Lead installation testing and maintenance of telecommunications equipment such as switches routers and fiber-optic cabling.

  • Power Systems Oversight: Maintain and troubleshoot critical DC power systems rectifiers and battery backups to support mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.

  • Bachelors degree 12 years experience Masters 10 years Associates 14 years or High School diploma 16 years relevant experience.

  • Strong expertise in HVAC power distribution cabling standards and building infrastructure.

  • Experience reviewing technical designs and contractor work for compliance with standards.

  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety frameworks for critical infrastructure.

  • Background in physical security standards for facilities.

  • Excellent communication problem-solving and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with FAA programs NAS systems or air traffic control environments.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or certifications in facility/building management.

  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices LEED standards or energy-efficient systems.

  • Understanding of project management methodologies and tools.

Target Salary Range

$112000 - $179000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
