Senior Engineer – Biomechanical Testing

Element has an opportunity for an Senior Engineer to join our expanding team. As a member of the operations team the senior engineer position manages a variety of routine and non-routine testing projects within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The senior engineer position must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules code of conduct and company policies and procedures.

Salary: $70000 - $120000/yr DOE

• Manage the entirety of multiple biomechanical testing programs

• Provide technical and engineering leadership and supports the development ofnew technologieswithin a local laboratory

• Be accountable foraccurateandtimelyrelease of testing data to customers includingsign-offsof quality control data as acceptable

• Be expected to obtain guidance in non-routine situation testing

• Have the ability tooversee standard and/or routine technicalproblem solvingactivities

• Interact with customers on technical issues and questions

• Provide Input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers

• Be confident in making both formal and informal presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to a wide range of stakeholders

• Assistin the professional development of novice technicians and engineers within the local laboratory

• Carry out crucialexaminationand implementation of testing concepts and data

• Utilize an assortment of skill methodsproceduresand materials in advanced testing analysis

• Be adept at drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusions

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety
• Possessa high levelofexpertiserelated to scope core theories conceptsterminologiesand boundaries of chosen engineering discipline
• Possess aBachelorsof Sciencedegree in an Engineering discipline
• Have a minimum of4years pertinent post degree engineering experience or advanced academic/professional qualifications
• In-depth understanding of testing concepts
• Can analyze and compiles testing data from the tests performed
• Familiar with ASTM testing Standards
• Familiar with orthopedic implants and surgical procedures
• Able tooperatea variety of mechanical test machines
• Fluent withSolidworksor other CAD software
