particular role will play a lead in the instructional leadership and training aspects of the DISDs new teacher support systems. Specifically the role will ensure that all novice teachers have access to: (a) high-quality mentors and (b) ongoing support to ensure novice teacher support is a collaboration between campus and district leaders and teams. - Lead critical conversations regarding novice teacher support with senior members of School Leadership Academic Services Human Capital Management and campuses.
- Improve understanding of events expectations and requirements of early career teachers in Dallas ISD beginning at point of hire to ensure novice teachers understand responsibilities opportunities and expectations.
- Identify design and facilitate training for lead mentors and mentor teachers focused on researched-based best practices that support the development of early career teachers.
- Identify design and facilitate training for central staff leaders focused on researched-based best practice leadership and management strategies that can be leveraged across the District.
- Monitor novice teacher and mentor teacher feedback and evidence collection across campuses to strengthen novice teacher support and respond to real-time data.
- Assist in the planning and execution of employee recognition programs.
- Support transition for experienced teachers entering Dallas ISD from other districts both locally and nationally.
- Support the successful implementation of the Distinguished Teacher Review process.
