Job Summary
If you are an Engineering professional seeking an opportunity to grow and drive solutions across both the power and water automation industries Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Cranberry Township PA office the Sr. Proposal Engineer will be part of the Lifecycle Proposals team and will work closely with Sales Marketing and Engineering to develop Ovation solutions for customers across North America. You will also assist with leading & mentoring our proposals process & application team by supporting our Ovation Advantage program (providing solutions in control modernization control subsystem replacements and ancillary systems integration).
- Develop clear accurate technical proposals based on customer needs requirements and specifications.
- Have extensive knowledge of various plant applications within the power and/or water industries.
- Provide leadership support to the proposal team including coaching knowledge sharing and process guidance.
- Continually expand knowledge of Ovation products services and support offerings.
- Expand your knowledge of Emerson products services and support offerings to deliver highvalue customercentric proposals.
Work effectively with the Regional/Project Engineering teams to develop complete solutions utilizing Emerson products and services
- Coordinate and participate in customer meetings to clarify scope share expertise and present solution recommendations.
Collaborate with other Emerson departments to drive solutions and provide support.
Review customer orders to ensure alignment with proposed scope and prepare documentation for order entry.
You understand the importance and interdependence of internal customer relationships you scan the environment for new technical skills knowledge or capabilities that can benefit business and personal performance and you persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.
- BS degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related STEM fieldor equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience.
- Familiarity or experience with process automation systems or industrial control systems.
- Experience applying technical knowledge within complex industrial or automation environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities stay organized and adapt in a fastmoving environment.
- Strong initiative and a drive to deliver highquality results.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
- Ability to travel up to 5%.
- Experience working effectively across multiple teams in a large matrixed organization.
- Experience with Emersons Ovation technologies.
