Watson Candidate Assistant is here to answer questions about working at Dallas ISD.- Implement the LCC district education curriculum and program requirements. Manage property budget and fund-raising controls for the LCC unit.
- Attend all scheduled or called meetings.
- Coach the units Color guard Rifle Teams Drill teams etc.
- Prepare plans coordination and supervision of all co-curricular service learning special activities or events (military ball drill meets honor guards encampments and other extracurricular activities).
- Assess and evaluate students progress and growth through formal and informal evaluations procedures. Evaluate students progress and determine materials and strategies to provide for their needs.
- Coordinate and consolidate lesson plans curriculum activities and objectives with other content areas in order to provide for transfer of learning and knowledge.
- Actively recruit students to enroll in LCC programs and maintain or exceed cadet enrollment requirements.
- Receive store safeguard issue and account for all property assigned to the school.
- Have a keen knowledge of administrative and supply operations.
- Participate in all functions directed by the Office of the Director of Army Instruction (DAI).
- Be apart of the public affairs program directed toward the school school district community and civic groups to further enhance their understanding and mission of the LCC program.
- Develop thematic units and other projects to provide for extended interaction and creativity. Instruct 180 hours of character development materials in classroom and laboratory environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel throughout the district is integral to this job. A remote working environment /alternate work arrangement is not an option for campus-based employees/campus-based positions because regular and punctual attendance at the worksite and performing all duties at the worksite are essential job duties for all campus-based personnel.
- Certified Physical Education Teacher. Bachelors Degree from an accredited university: Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements for subject and subject level assigned.
- Certified as a JROTC instructor by the Military. (Preferred)
- Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with the Office of the Director of Army Instruction (DAI) DAI Staff students parents other teachers and school administrators.
