Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Manager of Recreation and Shoreline Management this position provides support in implementing Grant PUDs FERC license requirements in a manner that ensures Grant PUDs park facilities and recreation programs and projects and shoreline areas are operated and maintained to the standards set by the Recreation Resource Management Plan and Shoreline Management Plan and in compliance with all Grant PUD regulatory and policy guidelines.

- Performs a variety of duties for Grant PUDs Recreation and Shoreline Management programs including interpretation and education activities site monitoring and data collection vehicle counts face-to-face visitor surveys.
- Managing Grant PUDs campground reservation system and responding to the recreation-related emails and phone calls from the public.
- Assists in recreation and land management programs including community and school outreach events and Grant PUD Visitors Center tours.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner. Represents the Grant PUD at public and stakeholder meetings and outreach events.
- Educates and informs the public on Grant PUDs policies as they relate to recreation visitor management and resource protection.
- Educates and informs the public on recreational opportunities in the area.
- Assists with other Recreation and Shoreline management programs as assigned.
- In this position if needed to operate a GPUD vehicle for business purposes please refer to the Vehicle/Asset Usage Policy IS-TA-POL-001.
- Demonstrated commitment to Grant PUDs mission vision values and strategic plan. The incumbent should be familiar with these organizational priorities and behave in a way that aligns with these expectations.
- Understand and adhere to compliance requirements for this position that may include laws regulations security guidelines Grant PUD policies & procedures.
- Actively participate in all aspects of our safety program including but not limited to:
- Following all safety policies and procedures.
- Alerting supervisors and coworkers to unsafe or hazardous working conditions.
- Reporting any safety incidents or close calls within 24 hours to your supervisor.
- Accepting feedback from supervisors and coworkers regarding your own safety performance.
Required Qualifications (Education Experience Licenses & Certifications):
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age by date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications (Education Experience Licenses & Certifications):
- Microsoft Office 365 skills.
- Customer service experience.
Other Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Ability to learn and apply Grant PUD policies and procedures.
- Skill in effectively communicate with and relate to people with different backgrounds; problem solving thinking clearly and acting professionally under stress; preparing written comments on report forms; following written and verbal directions as they relate to work assignments; operating a vehicle in a safe manner by observing legal and defensive driving practices; cooperating and working effectively with others in a positive team atmosphere; being flexible and adaptable to complete daily tasks; exercising independent judgment and being a team player.
