We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly female to join our team as a Recovery Champion working 37.5 hours per week supporting people in our new Womens Hub in Liverpool as part of River Drug and Alcohol service.

The role will be to welcome and engage women who use substances in the community and at our New Womens hub in Liverpool. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will work with those who are directly impacted by their own substance use as well as working with key partners to empower communities.

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours (Mon-Friday between 9am-7pm)

Full Time Salary: 25077.00 per annum

Contract Type:Permanent

*Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours

Responsibilities

About the role:

  • Meet individuals to discuss their personal goals regarding their recovery and encourage individuals to engage with substance use treatment
  • Support with covering duty welcome area and group work in the womens hub
  • Create links with stakeholders and local communities and work to target women affected by drugs and alcohol who are hard to reach those who are at risk of being recalled to prison those isolated in communities unaware of services or who do not feel services are for them
  • Attendteam meetings/group supervision with the aim of sharing good practice and finding solutions
  • Utilise existing local resources and build local community awareness signposting to relevant agencies
  • Provide personalised recovery coaching to individiuals

About you:

  • Lived experience of drug or/and alcohol use
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsalong withgood IT skills
  • Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs whilst remaining empathetic and non-judgemental towardService Users
  • Confident in working alone as well as part of a team
  • Canremain calm under pressure
  • Ableto travel asrequired including where public transport is not available
