Manitoba Minor Injury provides medical assessment and treatment for minor to moderate musculoskeletal injuriesoperatingas a focused alternative to urgent care and emergency departments. Care is delivered within a collaborative clinic that integrates medical and rehabilitation services under one roof.
The Role
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support clinical assessment triage and ongoing management of minor injury cases. This is a salaried on-site role with a clearly defined scope and strong physician NP will work with patients frominitialassessment through treatment planning including prescribing where permitted documentation and referrals to internal rehabilitation providers or external medical services whenrequired.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments for minor injury presentations
- Perform triage and clinical decision-making within scope
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostics as appropriate
- Complete clinical documentation and insurance-related paperwork
- Coordinate care with physicians and rehabilitation providers
