Job Summary

A welcoming and well-established 1118 secondary school in Newark is seeking an Early Career Teacher of History to join its Humanities faculty. The Role

You will teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4 working within a carefully planned knowledge-rich curriculum. Schemes of work are well established and shared across the department allowing ECTs to focus on lesson delivery behaviour routines and developing confidence in the classroom.

At KS3 lessons emphasise chronology key concepts and source skills. GCSE teaching focuses on exam technique structured writing and confident analysis with clear modelling and scaffolded support.

There is no expectation to reinvent the wheel instead youll be supported to become an excellent classroom practitioner step by step.


ECT Support & Development
