Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

The Shift Supervisor supervises all shift employees and complies with all safety quality quantity and housekeeping standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Supervises all personnel and operations on the shift.
Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
Reports any process and equipment problems. Calls the Maintenance Supervisor on evenings and weekends for assistance with problems.
Trains upgrades evaluates and reviews operators.
Organizes work for smooth operations.
Ensures that established policies rules regulations and procedures are followed.
Verifies correct identification weights and warehousing of products.
Distributes plant status reports to the next-shift supervisor and Production Manager.
Supervises loading and unloading of trucks and verifies that paperwork is correctly signed.
Responsible for all processes equipment employees safety and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quantity standards on the shift.
Troubleshoots problems.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs other duties as assigned.
