Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 4x12-Hour Shifts
Shift Hours: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Total Hours: 48 hours per week
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) to join a busy acute care hospital. The Med-Surg RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions while working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical inpatient setting
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications IV therapy blood products and treatments as ordered
Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses treatments and discharge plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with physicians case managers and ancillary staff
Ensure compliance with patient safety standards infection control and hospital policies
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York or compact where applicable)
Minimum 12 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
Current BLS certification required
ACLS preferred
Strong clinical judgment time management and communication skills
Additional Information
Floating may be required based on census and staffing needs
Weekend and holiday rotation may apply
