Job Summary:

As a Layout Engineer you will apply strong industrial engineering concepts and logical problemsolving tooptimizeproduction equipment layoutsthat maximize factory output. You will serve as the connection point between Manufacturing Engineering and Facilities bymaintainingaccuratelayout documentation supporting toolinstallation planning and ensuring that all proposed layouts arefeasiblewithin the factorys technical and schedule constraints.

Main Responsibilities:

Optimizeproduction equipment layouts by applying industrial engineering principles to improve material flow footprint efficiency and overall factory output.

Maintainaccurateand uptodate layout documentation ensuring that all planned tool installations relocations upgrades and removals are reflected in the rampplan layout.

Perform onsite assessments together with Facilities and tool owners tovalidatelayout feasibility verify physical and infrastructure constraints and ensure that proposed layouts accurately reflect operational conditions.

Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Facilities to communicate layout changes resolve constraints and ensure alignment throughout the planning and execution process.

Develop foundational understanding of factory design cleanroom protocols and process areas to support effective layout planning and operational readiness.

Plan and managetoolsmovement.

Job Requirements/Qualification/ Selection Criteria :

Bachelorsdegree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Computerengineering or related discipline
Proficiencyin M365 Apps such as MicrosoftExcelMicrosoft PowerPointetc
Strong criticalthinking skills with the ability to analyze constraints evaluate tradeoffs and support datadriven decisionmaking in layout planning.
Strong communicationskills and a collaborative mindset to drive actions and alignment with crossfunctional stakeholders.
Highly motivated adaptable and comfortable working in a fastpaced dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
Ability to multi-task and organize work systematically in meeting deadlines without compromising on quality.
Physically able to work inside a cleanroom environment including wearing full cleanroom attire (smock hood gloves boots) and performing onsite checks such as layout validations and equipmentarea walkthroughs.
Demonstrated at least 2 years of leadership skills such as in university or other co-curricular activities.
Prior programming work (inclusive of vibe coding using free Gen AI tools)
Hands-on experience in AI (Chatbot Agentic AI Automationetc) tools in academic or work environments
Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus
Interestin andknowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.

Performs design and development engineering assignments related to activities for equipment and systems layouts in plant office and production facilities. Work may encompass studies to determine the efficient sequence of operations and workflow. Recommends processes for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. Prepares cost estimates for proposed projects and evaluates cost factors. May participate in testing and implementation of new production systems and interface with research and development and process engineering to plan for future product introduction.
