About the Role:

The Senior Director of Data Product Solutioning and Build is a senior leader on the Surgery Partners Data Analytics Team reporting directly to the VP of Strategy and Data Analytics. This role is pivotal in shaping the enterprises data product strategy and ensuring alignment between business needs and technical capabilities. The leader will collaborate closely with IT Data Engineering to align architecture and roadmap with analytics requirements while driving innovative solutions for internal data customers. This position will lead the design build and maintenance of internal data tools manage solutioning for buy/build decisions and champion adoption of advanced analytics and AI techniques to streamline processes and reduce manual work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with IT Data Engineering to ensure data architecture and roadmap align with analytics team needs and stakeholder requirements.
• Customer Solutioning: Engage with internal data customers to understand business needs and design solutions including buy/build evaluations.
• Product Development Leadership: Build and lead a team responsible for developing and maintaining internal data tools that meet operational and strategic needs.
• Product Build: Support the build of products that will lead to operational decision-making and action that changes operators behaviors. Start with rapid prototyping and iteration and build into long-term / scalable tools across the enterprise.
• Standards Reinforcement: Create and reinforce organization-wide data lexicon and data standardization by building and disseminating tools using common data structures and definitions.
• Ensure Adoption: Partner with the Operational Data Training Leader to disseminate tools and gather feedback for continuous improvement iteration automation and sunsetting of tools. Track adoption and operational results successes and metrics outcomes based on tool usage.
• Talent Development: Coach and mentor junior data analytics team members to build organizational capability.
• Innovation and AI Integration: Infuse AI techniques and tools into data products to reduce manual upkeep and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

Experience: 10 years in data analytics product management or related fields with at least 5 years in leadership roles. Proven experience in solutioning for complex data needs and managing product development lifecycles.

Skills: Strong understanding of data architecture analytics platforms and integration strategies. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills.

Other: Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in data product development.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in healthcare services.
• Expertise in data visualization and analytics tools (e.g. Power BI Sigma).
• Strong project management and vendor management capabilities.
• Ability to foster a culture of inclusion innovation and continuous improvement.
