Roles and Responsibilities:
- Candidate will be responsible for the planning development and execution of Software Aspects of an Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) System to achieve successful integration with an existing Aviation Platform.
- Candidate will engage with DoW clients to include Army Aviation NAVAIR and Air Force as well as sub-tier suppliers to ensure that the software solution is architected in accordance with the Modular Open System Approach (MOSA) principles
- Candidate will contribute to an overall Modular Mission Software Strategy to speed Technology Upgrades and Capability insertion to various platforms.
Basic Qualifications:
- Us Citizenship and Security Clearance
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- 10 years direct and relevant experience with RTCA/DO-178 processes including experience with Real Time Operating Systems for Safety Critical Design Assurance Level Software.
- Direct and relevant experience with RTCA/DO-297 tailored for Defense Aviation
- In-depth experience with MOSA and FACE definition and architecture approaches
- Familiarity with Airworthiness processes (Army NAVAIR DAF)
- Familiarity with Reference Architectures to include EAF AMS-GRA A-GRA FAF OMS Big Iron
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree preferred
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) familiarity
- CAST-32A familiarity
