Job Summary
About the Role
Mount Royal University Cougars Athletics and Recreation is seeking a flexible Facility Attendant to support the operation of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities. This role includes facility checks event set-up and take-down equipment and space preparation and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct facility checks ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the recreation facility.
Assist with set up and take down for Cougars varsity games and special events (indoors and outdoors).
Ready facilities and equipment for external and internal university bookings.
Assist with cleaning and maintaining recreation and fitness equipment.
Assist with cleaning and maintaining the recreation facilities.
Assist with outdoor recreation facility maintenance and operations.
Provide laundry services for various university departments.
Provide superior customer service to all facility users.
Provide general support to all recreation staff.
Qualifications
Priority given to current MRU students
Availability to work evenings or weekends or holidays (provide availability with application)
Reliable transportation as shifts may vary between 6 am and 11 pm
Standard First Aid and CPR (within 2months of hiring)
Positive customer service skills with an open attitude to working with a diverse population
Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to establish effective working relationships and work as a member of a team
Salary: $15.00 - $18.87 per hour
