Job Description

Role Summary:

This internship offers handson experience contributing to the development testing and improvement of automation technologies used across globallogisticssystems.Interns will support real product and tooling initiatives while learning electromechanical system behavior industrial software concepts and R&D engineering workflows.

Essential Functions

  • Learn the electromechanical operation of automated materialhandling andlogisticsequipment.

  • Participate in the development and refinement of control algorithms for newand existingautomation equipment.

  • Assistwith testing validation and debugging of electromechanical and softwaredriven systems.

  • Document design decisions code updates test results and engineering guidelines.

  • Support the creation and improvement of engineering tools and processes used across R&D projects.

  • Collaborate with mechatronics controls and software engineers on crossfunctional product development efforts.

  • Identifyopportunitiesto improve system performance reliability and maintainability.

  • Gain exposure to modern engineering standards test processes and development tools.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Currentlypursuing aBachelorsdegree inMechatronics Engineering Software Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science ora relatedfield.

  • Coursework academic projects or handson experience involvingsoftware development automation controls or industrial equipmentis preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • PLC code development experience

  • Exposure to automation or industrial systems

  • Analytical and problemsolving skills

  • Familiarity with engineering documentation and testing practices

  • Interest in electromechanical systems or industrial software development

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is afulltime summer internshipposition Monday through Friday. Flexible start times are available between7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. with end times between4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. including a onehour lunch break.

Travel:

No travel.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Officebased environment with extended periods working at a computer

  • Occasional movement within the office to access equipment
