Position: Dietary Aide

Shifts Available:

First Shift and Second Shift

Compensation:

Starting $14.00/hour with shift differential available

$4 weekend shift diff
$2 second shift shift diff
$2 opt out of benefits

Schedule:

Part-time with benefit eligibility
Availability required every other weekend
Participation in every other holiday rotation

Responsibilities:

Assist with food preparation under the guidance of the Cook or Assistant Director of Dining Services.
Prepare beverages cereals breads salads and desserts based on planned menus and diet cards.
Set up meal carts and maintain cleanliness in kitchen storage and dishwashing areas.
Operate the dishwasher and manage heavy dish racks.
Record and monitor dish machine temperatures.
Store food and supplies appropriately ensuring everything is labeled and dated.
Stock and clean diet kitchens cabinets and refrigerators.
Prepare the staff dining room for meals and replenish supplies.

Qualifications:

Experience: 6 months to 1 year in a food service establishment and/or healthcare food service establishment.
ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred but not required.
Attention to detail particularly concerning dietary needs and meal orders.
Compassionate and patient when interacting with elderly residents and their families.
Ability to lift and carry between 50 to 75 pounds and manage exposure to varied temperatures and humidity.
