Bigdata Engineer with GCP

We are looking for a skilled Big Data Engineer with strong experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design build and optimize large-scale data processing systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with data scientists analysts and product teams to deliver reliable scalable and high-performance data solutions.

• Design develop and maintain scalable big data pipelines on GCP

• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for structured and unstructured data

• Work with GCP services such as BigQuery Dataflow Dataproc Pub/Sub Cloud Storage

• Ensure data quality reliability security and performance across pipelines

• Optimize queries and storage for cost and performance efficiency

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements

• Implement monitoring logging and alerting for data pipelines

• Follow best practices for data governance security and compliance

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions

• Strong experience as a Big Data Engineer or similar role

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Proficiency in BigQuery and SQL (advanced level)

• Experience with Apache Spark / PySpark

• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java

• Experience building batch and streaming pipelines

• Knowledge of data modeling partitioning and performance tuning

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)

• Experience with Kafka Airflow or Composer

• Knowledge of Terraform or other IaC tools

• Experience with real-time streaming data

• Exposure to machine learning data pipelines

• GCP certifications (e.g. Professional Data Engineer)

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
