Position: Team Leader
Location: Indianapolis IN (on site)
American Structurepoint is seeking a Team Leader to provide leadership project oversight and business unit management within the Civil Engineering Group. This role is responsible for guiding a team of professionals managing complex projects and driving client relationships to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
The Team Leader serves as a senior-level leader who combines technical expertise with strong management skillsensuring project quality profitability and team development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 5 staff members providing direction and mentorship.
- Oversee and manage more than $1M in annual project revenue.
- Build and maintain client relationships securing approximately $750K in annual revenue.
- Manage and lead a business unit including staffing resource allocation and performance oversight.
- Perform final QA/QC reviews on complex civil engineering projects.
- Manage multi-discipline projects from concept through completion.
- Assist Group Leader with annual revenue forecasts and strategic planning.
- Participate in hiring interviews and staff development initiatives.
- Proactively communicate and coordinate internally and externally to ensure project success.
- Mentor Project Managers and delegate tasks effectively to ensure team efficiency.
- Support Group Leader with staff development and succession planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering and project management.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of civil/site design principles and multi-discipline coordination.
- Excellent communication leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
