Full-time Pipefitter Foreman
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pipefitter Foreman to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipefitting exceptional leadership skills and proven project management experience. As a Pipefitter Foreman you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating pipefitting projects managing teams of pipefitters and ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise teams of pipefitters apprentices and helpers on various construction and maintenance projects
- Plan organize and coordinate pipefitting activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion
- Interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings to determine project requirements and specifications
- Develop and implement work schedules assigning tasks to team members based on their skills and experience
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations company policies and industry standards
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols on job sites
- Perform quality control inspections on completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and industry standards
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and other trades to coordinate work and resolve any issues that arise
- Manage inventory of tools equipment and materials ensuring adequate supplies are available for projects
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
- Troubleshoot complex pipefitting issues and develop effective solutions
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation including daily reports time sheets and progress updates
- Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to the development of project timelines and budgets
- Stay updated on industry trends new technologies and best practices in pipefitting
- Maintain open communication with clients addressing their concerns and providing regular project updates
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in pipefitting with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Journeyman Pipefitter certification or equivalent
- Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating teams
- Strong project management skills including the ability to plan organize and prioritize work
- Excellent knowledge of pipefitting techniques tools and materials
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints schematics and technical drawings
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry
- Experience with various piping systems including process piping hydraulic systems and HVAC
- Familiarity with welding processes and ability to oversee welding operations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
