About the Job

You will become part of our upstream production area in a modern state-of-the-art facility supporting preclinical clinical and commercial manufacturing for a wide range of international clients.

The team consists of skilled technicians and academics who work professionally datadriven and in close collaboration with key partners such as QA QC PLE PE and Manufacturing Support.

As a Technician inUpstream Manufacturing you will be responsible for executing critical steps in the mammalian cell culture production process within a cGMP-regulated environment. Your tasks will range from media preparation and seed train expansion to operation of bioreactors and monitoring of key process parameters.

Your Work Will Include

  • Executing daily upstream production activities including seed train expansion inoculation and bioreactor operations
  • Preparing media and process solutions according to production records and established procedures
  • Performing sterile handling and aseptic workflows to ensure contamination-free processes
  • Monitoring and controlling process parameters such as pH dissolved oxygen temperature agitation and feed strategies
  • Completing batch documentation and supporting daily documentation reviews
  • Supporting the onboarding and training of new colleagues while maintaining ownership of your own learning and development
  • Working in accordance with GMP MPRs SOPs and approved procedures at all times
  • Ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory systems in close collaboration with QA
  • Contributing to continuous improvement including LEAN activities and 5S initiatives
  • Troubleshooting process-related challenges together with Process Engineering and other support functions
  • Participating in daily production planning and working reliably with both routine tasks and ad hoc assignments

About You

We imagine that you:

  • Hold an education as a Process Operator Process Technologist Industrial Operator or a similar technical background
  • Preferably have 2 years of experience from the biopharmaceutical biotech or food industry ideally in a cGMP environment
  • Have experience with upstream processes such as seed train expansion inoculation or bioreactor operation
  • Are familiar with sterile techniques and aseptic production
  • Have experience preparing media and working according to production documentation
  • Have knowledge of LEAN 5S or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicate clearly and work well in a team
  • Can speak read and understand English

As a person you are positive flexible and motivated by taking on new assignments and responsibilities. You thrive in a dynamic production environment and are comfortable handling change and unpredictability.

The position is shift-based according to a defined shift plan. Production operates 24/7 including weekends and holidays and you will be expected to work during these periods depending on your assigned shifts.
