The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) products. We are hands-on designing with the latest technology and tools and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. TEE products are located in engineering labs in the field and in production environments utilized for weapon system product verification qualification test data analysis and production test solution development. TEE has job opportunities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle including demonstrations early engineering tests design verification tests production and sustainment.

TEE is looking for Principal Mechanical Engineers to be responsible for designing developing documenting and maintaining complex test environment systems for all Raytheon effector products.

What You Will Do

• Research plan design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including but not limited to vibration thermal hydraulic radio frequency and electro-optical for production testing environments

• Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements

• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

• Minimum of eight (8) years of technical / engineering experience in mechanical design and/or production support

• Minimum of five (5) years experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE / CREO Parametric

• Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance analysis

• Experience creating mechanical drawing packages

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Design experience with mechanical and electronic packaging

• Experience with Configuration Management processes application and tools (e.g. Windchill / cPDM)

• Experience in Model Based Engineering or Model Based Design

• Experience in mechanical sub-systems packaging materials thermal analysis structural analysis control systems electrical hardware design or large assembly development

• Experience with environmental stress screening of hardware (e.g. vibration shock thermal etc.)

• Systems engineering experience

• Knowledge of basic management approaches such as work scheduling prioritizing coaching and process execution

• Experience in proposal development and the first four gates within the Integrated Product Development System (IPDS)

• Experience with providing guidance and assistance to less experienced professionals and/or support employees

  The salary range for this role is 107500 USD - 204500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
