What youll do
- Youll support a cross-functional group of 3 - 5 engineering teams to design develop and integrate software features that are delightful and vital to the lives of credit card consumers across all walks of life
- Coach and nurture your engineering managers on how to build empower and operate teams to achieve their goals
- Collaborate with product managers and designers on the overall product roadmap for a key business goal
- Provide sound stewardship of the platform and capabilities created and owned by your teams
- Be part of the engineering leadership team that evolves and enhances our capability by defining and adopting best practices
- Play a lead role in the development of your teams culture their vision and how they achieve it
- Work with associates across the business to identify lead and drive change that impacts associates beyond your team
What were looking for
- Youll have experience in leading and supporting multi-disciplined engineering teams to achieve business goals
- Youre comfortable in reaching technical trade-offs between short-term team and long-term business needs
- Youre passionate about recruiting and developing great engineering talent
- Youll demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and work together across engineering to maximise inner-sourcing opportunities and reduce waste
What youll get to learn (any previous experience would be advantageous)
- An in-depth understanding and experience working with the cloud/AWS and the opportunities that it brings
- Solving real world problems and being comfortable working in a complex regulated environment
Where and how youll work
This is a permanent position and is based in our Farnborough office.
We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
Were big on collaboration and connection so youll be based in our Farnborough office 2 days a week.
