Short Description

The Development Manager (Private Giving) is responsible for implementing Arts Centre Melbournes major giving program by managing a portfolio of donors who contribute gifts of $10000 and above. The role focuses on the cultivation and solicitation of major donors and qualified prospects to grow philanthropic income in support of Arts Centre Melbournes priorities across access and inclusion education and creative learning commissioning new works and preserving Australias cultural heritage. The position also contributes to fundraising activity connected with the Reimagining Arts Centre Melbourne Capital Campaign ensuring donors and prospects are engaged meaningfully in the organisations vision and programs.

About the Position

• Major Giving Program Delivery: Feed into and implement Arts Centre Melbournes major giving strategy at an operational level managing an assigned portfolio of major donors (>$10000) to grow philanthropic income across untied and project funding priorities.
• Major Gift Fundraising: Management of portfolio of high-value donors developing tailored cultivation solicitation and stewardship plans to secure significant philanthropic contributions.
• Prospect Pipeline Development: In collaboration with the Researcher identify and qualify potential major donors delivering outreach engagement activities and personalised communication that build a sustainable pipeline of future supporters.
• Proposal & Reporting Support: Work collaboratively with Development Operations program owners communications and design teams to develop high quality proposals impact reports and supporter materials for prospective and current donor presentation.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Philanthropy team and the broader organisation to identify and coordinate opportunities for major donor opportunities and involvement across campaigns appeals and organisational priorities ensuring a unified donor experience

Full-time ongoing position. Band 4.3 $114173.28 p.a. Superannuation

Your Skills and Experience

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of three years in fundraising or similar field with demonstrated success in high-net-worth relationship management culminating in financial outcomes
• Good understanding of the philanthropic landscape in Australia
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior stakeholders
