Role Overview
We are seeking a Java Full Stack / Strong Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Java Spring Boot and microservices architecture to build and support scalable high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate is hands-on quality-focused and experienced in modern DevOps practices distributed systems and Agile delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Backend & Application Development
-
Design develop and maintain Java 8 / J2EE-based applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.

Build and consume RESTful APIs ensuring scalability security and performance.
-
Apply clean code practices and SOLID principles to produce maintainable high-quality code.
Data & Integration
-
Work with relational databases (SQL Oracle PostgreSQL Cassandra) and NoSQL technologies (MongoDB Elasticsearch).

Handle multiple data formats including XML JSON and flat files.
-
Perform hands-on SQL development and query optimization as needed.
DevOps & Platform Enablement
-
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and platforms such as OpenShift or PCF.
-
Work with Kafka for event-driven and streaming use cases.

Use Gradle and standard version control systems for build and release management.
Testing & Quality Engineering
-
Develop and maintain unit and integration tests using modern testing frameworks.
-
Ensure adherence to code coverage quality and security standards.
-
Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaboration & Delivery
-
Work within Agile/Scrum teams contributing to sprint planning reviews and retrospectives.

Collaborate closely with product owners architects QA and DevOps teams.

Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
6 years of professional experience in Java backend or full stack development.
-
Strong expertise in Java 8 J2EE Spring Boot and microservices.

Hands-on experience building and consuming REST APIs (Swagger/OpenAPI).

Solid experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.

Working knowledge of CI/CD Docker OpenShift/PCF and Kafka.

Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks.
-
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
-
Excellent problem-solving communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred / Nice to Have

Experience with logging and monitoring tools.

Exposure to Elasticsearch-based search or analytics solutions.

Experience working in hybrid onsite/offshore delivery models.
