Strategy Consultant Global PBWM & Investments

It is an opportunity for an enthusiastic organized and outgoing professional who is passionate about shaping and building INGs newly formed Global Private Banking Wealth Management (PBWM) and Investments segment. As a Strategy Consultant you will play a pivotal role in setting the strategic direction and driving its execution of INGs 3rd Retail pillar across all countries. The Global PBWM & Investments Strategy team consists of 4 Strategy Consultants reporting directly into the Global Head (Anneka Treon) working closely together with local Heads of private banking and Investments businesses. You will join a high-pace environment in the fastest growing domain in Retail surrounded by ambitious and motivated leaders. The team is responsible for identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to grow PBWM & Investments across the existing franchise and launch in new markets to grow the diversification of INGs fee income.

The team Global Retail
The Global Retail organization is end-to-end functionally responsible for the three Retail segments: Private Individuals Business Banking and Private Banking & Wealth Management. Key responsibilities are to define and cascade down the segment strategy manage commercial and financial performance and first line risk and regulatory our Global Retail strategy Superior Customer Experience and Sustainability at the heart in a safe & secure environment are the key enablers of business growth.
The Global strategy teams accumulate segment intelligence and best practices ensure segment-wide consistency and scale successful local initiatives across the three segments. To put our customers first and really make the difference we focus execution capacity close to the customer.

Roles and responsibilities
The Global PBWM & Investments Strategy team is responsible for defining and executing the strategy for the segment globally as well as to drive the overall segment P&L by clear business prioritization of global PBWM & Investments activities. This includes acting as link between the Head Office and the local investment and private banking segments and teams and leading dedicated projects across segments and addition you will support the Global Head in various (ad-hoc) activities ranging from preparing key presentations to senior stakeholders to performing data-driven analyses to support management decision-making. You will join the team with Strategy Consultants and among others will:

• Contribute to co-creating the PBWM & Investments vision strategy and roadmap and translating this overall strategy for the product lines into short & longer-term business objectives and quantify business outcomes & budget.
• Responsible for driving the prioritization of global projects/ activities/ deliverables - to support the Global Head of PBWM & Investments.
• Managing complex stakeholder environment by steering on facts discussions based on thorough analysis and guide local implementations.
• Acting as linking pin towards other Global Retail teams wider ING departments countries and global standards. Actively stimulating countries to share (best) practices and scale group capabilities.
• Assure progress by tracking dependencies milestones and critical path to ensure successful delivery of the global PBWM & Investments objectives; actively help managing issues and impediments.

Furthermore

• 5 years experience in an international setting in the financial industry and consultancy background.
• Proven experience in driving business performance and generating impact in complex (senior) stakeholder landscape.
• Understanding of the Investments segment its core products business models and client propositions.
• Experience with balancing client 1st and 2nd line interests.
• Excellent project management and data driven problem solving skills.
