About the Opportunity
We are looking for a high-potential Junior Data Strategy & Market Intelligence Analyst to join an elite commercially-driven team at the forefront of the global energy transition. You will work at the intersection of Strategy Sales and Product Development transforming raw data into powerful narratives that drive branding and revenue growth for Singapores newest exchange.
Core Responsibilities
1. Operational Intelligence & Visualization
Insights Delivery: Perform rigorous data analysis to generate operational insights supporting executive decision-making through dynamic dashboards and high-impact visual presentations.
Requirements Mapping: Assist in gathering and documenting complex business requirements; help map data flows and business processes to scale our internal data ecosystem.
2. Automation & Data Engineering Support
Workflow Optimization: Support the development of automated data collection pipelines from both internal and external sources maintaining a constant focus on eliminating manual processes.
Pipeline Validation: Assist in the testing and validation of automated workflows and data pipelines to ensure the highest standards of data integrity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with technology teams and data engineers to implement scalable data governance and security protocols.
3. Product & Market Strategy
Bespoke Analytics: Build and analyze specialized datasets in collaboration with the Product Development team to support project-based business initiatives.
Market Mastery: Develop a deep understanding of global derivatives markets and exchange operations with opportunities to engage in external stakeholder interactions as you grow.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Academic Credentials: Bachelors Degree (or final year student) in Data Science Engineering Mathematics Economics Finance or a related quantitative field.
Market Literacy: A foundational understanding of commodity markets asset pricing and the mechanics of price correlations.
Technical Toolkit: * Exposure to SQL Python or R through academic projects or internships.
Proficiency in Excel and modern data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
Understanding of core data concepts including database structure and data quality management.
Mindset: An entrepreneurial spirit with strong analytical problem-solving skills and a collaborative proactive approach to work.
