Job Summary
A large-scale iron ore operation in Sierra Leone is seeking an experienced Planning Supervisor to lead Maintenance Planning and drive safe reliable and cost-effective plant performance.
Role Purpose
Supervise and execute all activities related to Maintenance Planning.
Department: Engineering & Maintenance
Reports to: Planning Superintendent
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop maintenance planners and schedulers
Prepare annual and short-term (S6) maintenance plans and budgets
Plan preventive predictive and corrective maintenance activities
Manage work orders resources and shutdown planning via CMMS
Monitor maintenance KPIs and produce performance reports
Ensure alignment between maintenance operations and engineering
Enforce HSE standards and promote Zero Harm culture
Train and upskill national staff through structured coaching
What We Are Looking For
Knowledge & Skills
Strong CMMS and maintenance planning expertise
Proven leadership and team management ability
Solid understanding of mining safety and compliance
Analytical structured and cost-focused
Strong communication and coordination skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years in Maintenance Planning (mining environment preferred)
Experience working in Africa or developing environments essential
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Industrial or similar)
Masters degree in Maintenance or Reliability advantageous
