Requirements
Education & Licensure
- DDS or DMD degree from a COD Accredited dental school.
- Current Kansas dental license (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
- Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
- Board certification or eligibility through the American Board of General Dentistry (preferred not required).
Credentialing & Compliance
- Ability to secure credentialing with third-party payers (e.g. Blue Cross Blue Shield) and with Kansas Medicaid.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations including HIPAA OSHA radiation safety requirements and clinical quality standards.
- Completion of continuing dental education (CDE) as required by state licensure and professional standards.
Experience & Skills
- Clinical experience in comprehensive general dentistry including preventive restorative and emergency dental care.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and digital dentistry workflows (e.g. digital radiography intraoral scanners charting).
- Strong commitment to patient centered care with the ability to work within a collaborative team based model.
- Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to serve patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
Preferred
- Experience in a community health center FQHC or safety net dental setting.
- Knowledge of public health principles population health and integrated medical dental care models.
- Interest in mentorship leadership or participation in quality improvement and clinical best practice initiatives.
