What you will do-
Development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectives.
Develop and lead cross functional teams based in US and Germany to guide the process of strategic commodity plans consolidation strategy and spend/supply assessments taking into account total product life cycle needs.
Leads sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses and make versus buy analyses as required.
Leads development of contract strategy. Negotiates establishes monitors and enforces supplier contracts and agreements.
Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments suppliers financial assessments social responsibility environment ethics etc.
Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers. Utilize market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changes.
Lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectives.
Create and implement enterprise wide metrics tools and processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activities.
Communicate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization including Executive Leadership.
What you need-
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business Finance Engineering or related field required
7 years in Supply Management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development highly preferred
Engineering/technical background highly preferred
Knowledge and application of supplier contract strategy negotiations contractual terms and contract administration
Knowledge of continuous improvement and cost reduction methodologies
Experience with supplier metrics & measurement methodologies and supporting systems.
Strong skills in leadership negotiations influencing communication & presentation project management troubleshooting & problem solving analysis strategic thinking and collaborative team building.
Strong judgment with the ability to make and communicate timely and sound decisions
Fluent language skills in German and English speaking and writing
Valid car driving liscence class B
