Job Summary
Assistant Football Coach
Southern Boone High School
Southern Boone High School is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Football Coach to join our high school athletic program for the 2026-27 school year. This position supports the Head Football Coach in building a competitive positive and student-centered football experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of practices and game strategies
- Supporting the development of student-athletes skills teamwork and sportsmanship
- Supervising players during practices games meetings and travel
- Promoting academic success character development and positive behavior
- Assisting with equipment management field preparation and program needs
- Upholding school district and MSHSAA policies and expectations
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of football fundamentals and coaching techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff students and families
- Strong communication leadership and organizational skills
- Previous coaching experience preferred but not required
- Must meet all district and MSHSAA coaching requirements
