Job Summary
INTERMOUNTAIN FARMERS ASSOCIATION (IFA) is a regional farm supply co-op with diverse operations including feed production agronomy services and retail stores throughout the intermountain west. We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of YARD HOSTLER position at the IFA Distribution Center in Salt Lake City Utah.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Trailer Movement: Safely and efficiently move trailers and containers between dock doors parking spots and staging areas.
- Yard Organization: Maintain a clean organized and orderly yard to optimize logistics flow.
- Inspection & Maintenance: Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections on tractors and trailers to report damage or maintenance needs.
- Documentation: Complete required paperwork such as Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) and trailer logs.
- Safety & Coordination: Adhere to all safety protocols communicate with warehouse staff for scheduling and monitor yard traffic
- Work and communicate well with co-workers.
- Treat co-workers with respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma GED or equivalent. Prior warehouse experience highly desired. Able to be outside for extended periods of time during shift. Able to operate a specialized yard truck to move trailers and containers within the distribution center in a safe manner. Able to lift 50 pounds or more repeatedly. Class A CDL preferred.
