Job Summary

C-TECis seeking a knowledgeable and student-focused Physical Therapy & Exercise Science Instructor for the 2026-2027 school year to lead a comprehensive hands-on program designed to prepare high school students for postsecondary education industry credentials and careers in health fitness and rehabilitation fields. This instructor will deliver engaging instruction aligned to industry standards while emphasizing injury prevention patient care fitness training and human movement OverviewThe Physical Therapy & Exercise Science program prepares students who are interested in helping individuals prevent injuries relieve pain and improve strength mobility and overall wellness. Students gain foundational knowledge and practical experience in physical therapy and exercise science while working toward recognized certifications and students have opportunities to earn or sit for the following:American Heart Association CPR (Adult Child Infant) with AEDAmerican Heart Association First Aid CertificationCertified Personal Trainer credentialPhysical Therapy Aide ExamInstructional ResponsibilitiesDeliver standards-based instruction in physical therapy and exercise science concepts including:Exercise physiologyFirst aid and emergency proceduresFitness training and conditioningInjury prevention recognition and evaluationSports psychologyTherapeutic modalitiesResearch methods and data analysisDevelop and implement hands-on lab experiences simulations and applied learning students for industry certifications credentials and postsecondary a safe organized and professional learning environment that reflects real-world healthcare and fitness employability skills such as professionalism communication teamwork and ethical formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as with colleagues administrators and industry partners to strengthen program degree or higher in Exercise Science Physical Therapy Kinesiology Athletic Training or a related fieldRelevant industry experience in physical therapy exercise science athletic training or or ability to obtain CPR andFirst Aid experience and/or willingness to obtain career-technical teaching credentials as required by the communication organizational and classroom management QualificationsExperience working with high certifications such as Certified Personal Trainer Athletic Trainer or related preparing students for credentialing or certification exams.
