The duties and responsibilities of Driver include:
To drive office vehicle in accordance with government traffic rules and regulation to be able to assist SCH staff of different units to do their assigned job safely and timely;
The primary and priority responsibility of this position is to operate the ferry vehicle for employee transportation
Report early in the morning to release and prepare the vehicle in order to pick up employee according to the assigned ferry schedule
In the evening after office hours the drivers duties shall be considered complete only after transporting staff by ferry and properly parking and securing the vehicle at the designated location
To Keep and record the assigned vehicle log book check necessary documents and regularly update the all-related records;
To ensure that the assigned vehicle must be in condition of acceptable standard of cleanliness and maintain it always in running condition;
To be able to do minor repair and be able to know usual problem-solving procedure of assigned vehicles especially on trip;
To inform supervisors regularly on maintenance needs and problem of assigned vehicles;
Assist Sr. National Administration Officer and Coordinator on deliveries of program related products IECs promo and dispatched letter to truck terminal/bus terminal;
Assist Sr. National Administration Officer and Coordinator on collecting/transporting the Regional and field office reports/products;
Assist Sr. National Administration Officer and Coordinator on car assignment plan monthly motor vehicle status reports fuel consumption and financial transaction of office vehicle.
Perform the duties assigned by direct supervisor as required
Key Skills:
The key skills required for the position of Driver include:
- Competent in driving skill and knows thoroughly government traffic rules and regulation know SCH vehicle guidelines for driver well minimal knowledge on minor repair
- Must have organization skills on interact well and team work with vehicle users and liaising staff.
- Must be able to critically analyze when the vehicles break down during the trips and how to repair cost
Qualifications :
Could read and write basic level Myanmar and English language to be able to fill all SCH vehicles forms and to do financial transaction of SCH
Must hold a valid C driving license
Must be able to drive a Minibus
Could drive different types of vehicles both in downtown and highway
Have adequate knowledge of the principles and mechanics of motor vehicles
Have a good track record of experience as a good driver
Could travel overnight trips and do not reluctant to travel to hard-to-reach areas
