IQVIA Digital is seeking a skilled and data-savvy Technical Lead to help build and scale API-driven solutions that power our digital health ecosystem. This role goes beyond traditional backend developmentits about understanding the flow structure and value of data across digital platforms and ensuring seamless integration between systems. You will work closely with data engineers product teams and digital strategists to create APIs that not only serve functionality but also enable intelligent data exchange and insights generation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain scalable APIs that facilitate secure and efficient data exchange across digital health platforms.
- Collaborate with data teams to understand data models pipelines and governance requirements.
- Translate complex data requirements into API specifications that support analytics reporting and machine learning use cases.
- Ensure APIs are optimized for performance security and interoperability including support for healthcare data standards (7).
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the evolution of IQVIAs digital data ecosystem.
- Monitor and troubleshoot API performance and data flow issues in production environments.
- Be the local technical lead and manage team for guidance development accountability.
What we are looking for:
- 8 years of experience in backend or modern data engineering API development with a strong experience with API architecture and design (REST best practices auth versioning reliability).
- Solid cloud-native experience on AWS/GCP (API gateway containers serverless observability).
- Proven ability to act as a technical lead design reviews mentoring engineers setting standards.
- Comfortable with Python (or similar) enough to review code and contribute to key paths even if not a pure Python specialist.
- Experience with Snowflake/BigQuery and data-engineering workflows.
Nice-to-haves
- Deeper hands-on Python/FastAPI experience.
- Experience with Kubernetes/EKS or GKE.
- Healthcare / AdTech background.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
